Akhir Pekan : Refreshing in Tenjolaya Bogor

Last November was my grandma's 80th birthday. "No birthday party for me!" she warned her children (my parents, my uncles, and my aunties) as they usually make a (surprise) birthday party for her. In order to replace the annual party, they arranged a weekend trip to Bogor.

We stayed at place named Aldepos Salaca. It is located in Tenjolaya, Bogor, near Institut Pertanian Bogor. For someone who needs some quiet environment to relax this place is very suitable. The place is huge (about 60 hectares) with only eight villas inside. The villas are surrounded by many plantations. It was so refreshing to see green everywhere.

As a complimentary we can try flying fox. I did not have a gut to try, because it was quite high and I really don't like the sensation of hanging. So I volunteered myself to take pictures. Here are some pictures that I took.









Beside flying fox there were some activities that we can try, such as fishing, making pottery, washing buffaloes, barbecue or doing some free stuffs like swimming, jogging, or playing in the river. For pottery class, because the pottery that you make needs to be burned and colored, you can have the result about two weeks later. You can take it in Pondok Indah, Jakarta or you can ask them to send it to your home.

The only thing that was lack from this place was cool weather. Cool weather never failed to make me happy and refresh. Here, I couldn't feel like I was in the mountain. Oh, I also think paying for washing the buffaloes is stupid. Hehe.

 Even though this place is not too far from Jakarta, but the time needed to come and leave this place can be unpredictable. The first time I went here (in early 2012) I only need about 2,5 hours to reach home, but this time we spent seven hours to go home. So tiring.. :(

- Rorompog Sagi Tilu (Triangle House) is the most unique villas in here. Worth to try.

Museum Kata, Belitung

Sebuah rumah warna-warni menyambut kami di pinggir jalan sepi itu. "Fiction is the new power" tertulis di sana. Menarik, pikir saya. Museum Kata ternyata lebih besar dari kelihatannya. Di dalamnya berisi tentang perjalanan Laskar Pelangi, juga tentang berbagai hal lainnya seperti tentang Belitung dan literatur dunia. Untuk pertama kalinya saya tidak terganggu dengan banyaknya tulisan yang tertempel di dinding. Biasanya museum dengan banyak tulisan dan sedikit interaksi dengan benda pamer membuat saya bosan. Namun museum ini membuat saya merasa membaca buku tiga dimensi. Saya mengagumi Andrea Hirata. Seseorang dari di pulau kecil tapi cerdas, mampu menulis dengan baik, sukses memperkenalkan kampung halamannya, dan meningkatkan perekonomian daerah asalnya lewat pariwisata. Gara-gara Laskar Pelangi Belitung lebih terkenal daripada pulau tetangganya, Bangka. Padahal pantai di Bangka juga sama cantiknya.

Playground: Kidzoona, AEON, BSD

Libur pemilu kemarin Ru main di AEON BSD sama sepupu-sepupunya, Freya dan Cleo. Tiba-tiba ke AEON karena uyutnya Ru yang lagi jalan-jalan ke sana dan pasti seneng kalau cicitnya ikut gabung. Akhirnya tiga bocah itu dibolehin main di playground karena bingung juga mau ngapain. Mainnya di Kidzoona, supaya eyang uyut bisa nontonin dari luar. Kalau Playtime dan Miniapolis tertutup jadi ga bisa dilihat anaknya lagi main apa. Kidzoona ada di dalam department store AEON bagian anak-anak di lantai 2. Tepatnya berada di ujung paling dalam. Harga Tiket dan Member Untuk main di sini ada dua pilihan waktu: 1 jam atau satu hari. Biayanya 80 ribu untuk satu jam dan 130 ribu untuk satu hari pada weekend atau hari libur. Sementara di hari kerja biayanya 50 ribu dan 80 ribu saja. Saran saya jangan pilih tiket satu hari kalau weekend . Selain mahal, playground -nya ramai.

#5. SG Trip - Peranakan Museum

( My Travel Series ) _____________ Senin, 25-1-2010 Singapore Museum Trip Day 1 (Please note that this trip happened in 2010, there are probably some changes in the museum now) Mengunjungi Museum Peranakan setelah  National Museum of Singapore  adalah suatu kesalahan. Pertama, energi saya sudah terkuras cukup banyak paska keliling-keliling di museum nasional yang sungguh besar itu. Kedua, Setelah melihat museum besar dan sangat 'wah', Museum Peranakan jadi terlihat kecil dan biasa saja. Padahal Museum Peranakan ini sebenarnya menarik. Museum Peranakan ini berisi tentang warga keturunan yang lahir di Singapura. Bagaimana ya menjelaskannya, intinya tentang beragam suku bangsa yang datang dan kemudian membangun keluarga di Singapura, asal-usul penduduk Singapura.
